Our delivery charge is £3.00 (inc VAT) per 30kg.
Orders placed before 1pm (Mon-Fri) and with a combined weight more than 2kg will be delivered on the next working day* and, if meeting all other criteria, will qualify for our 'Next working day delivery guarantee'. Orders Placed After 1pm Friday but before 1pm Monday will be delivered on Tuesday and, if meeting all other criteria, will also qualify for our 'Next working day* delivery guarantee'.
Orders weighing over 2kg will be sent via DHL
Due to increased demand our 'next working day delivery guarantee' is not applicable December 15th - January 5th. During this period orders will still be dispatched on the same/next working day (subject to order time) on a next day service but may be subject to delay.
To use the aforementioned guarantee you (the customer) must contact us (DirectPetfoods) within 4 working days of the actual delivery date to make us aware that your delivery was late, contact must be in writing to email@example.com.
After investigation by DirectPetfoods, if it is found that your order met the required criteria for next working day* delivery and that the delivery was in fact late then a full refund of the delivery charge will be issued to the card used for the original payment.
The guarantee will not be applicable if:
- We contact you before dispatch of your goods (and before a delivery confirmation is sent) to advise there is a problem with the order.
- You specifically request a different delivery date.
- You contact our courier directly to request a change in delivery date.
- You request, through DirectPetfoods, a different delivery date at any point before your goods arrive with you.
- There is nobody available to take delivery (typically, but not guaranteed, between 8am - 6pm).
- You ask for a parcel to be left in a safe place and for any reason it cannot be left there.
- You select any delivery method other than 'Next Working Day Delivery - Order before 1pm (see terms)'
- It is during the holiday period December 15th - January 5th
*Working Days are Monday-Friday and DO NOT include Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays.
Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we can’t be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods or any costs or losses resulting from this delay, we will however honour our next working day* delivery guarantee where applicable and at our discretion offer a full refund of delivery charges.
The delivery will have, where applicable, VAT added. (For example: Wild Bird Seed is not subject to VAT and so your delivery charge would be £2.50, however, James Wellbeloved Dog Food is subject to VAT and so your delivery charge would be £3.00 (£2.50 + 50p VAT)). If your cart has both VAT and Non-VAT items then VAT will be added.
We can deliver to all of England and Wales and the Scottish lowlands for our standard delivery charge. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands will incur and additional charge and may not arrive next working day. We are unable to deliver to Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Islands of Scotland or any other islands surrounding the UK.

We will deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. You must be at home to accept delivery of your order, which is normally between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
Deliveries are made on the condition that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of the goods. You should tell us about any special delivery requirements or conditions when you place your order.
